Pomegranate festival
Pomegranate festival is held in Paveh city in Kurdestan province during 3 days. It is started on October 17th, all people of town gather together to celebrate the harvest of Pomegranate one of the most famous and popular fruits in Iran.
Young women carry the baskets full of pomegranate and sing. They go through pomegranate gardens to the city center. Finally all the people gather together in the city center to hold the ceremony. They sing, dance and eat fruits and special food.
